The Chamber wants to help your business

The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business Resource Expo Thursday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rabun Community Center in Wrens.

Chamber President Amy Howard said the event is a way to introduce business owners to the various resources available to help area businesses.

“You do not have to be a Chamber member to attend,” she said. Individuals with a variety of agencies will be onsite and sharing information about their services that can help business owners. This includes the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the Department of Labor, the Small Business Development Center and the Better Business Bureau.

Howard said this is a networking event and will not only show business owners what resources are available but how to access those resources as well.

Attendees should come with their questions in mind. There may be services that would benefit your business that are unfamiliar to you.

“I encourage everyone to come and see what is available to help their business,” Howard said.

“I would like to thank the sponsors who help make this event possible: Georgia Power, Queensborough, First State Bank, Fulghum Industries, Battle Lumber Company, Rhodes Murphy and Jefferson Energy Cooperative. They are each wonderful community partners and Chamber supporters,” she said, adding, “There is no charge to attend this event.”

Lunch will be available; and, there is no cost to attend, Howard said.
